Glan's kit is what I think of when I think of Camco by the way. Didn't he eventually add a harlequin type finish to that kit at some point? Perhaps it was just rectangles at a 45 degree angle. Saw him with Alice Cooper (but not with Alice Cooper white) in '77. If you want to look into a deeper red sparkle you could have Drummaker create one for you. Pretty much any red you might want over glass or sparkle. I voted walnut because I think it would look classy and, let's face it, Camco's are classy. It will look good no matter what you decide. I will say that to me, pearl finishes are best left on smaller kits. It harkens back to days of swing when men used 1 up and 1 down or 1 up and 2 down unless you were Louie Bellson. ...oh nevermind...
A huge thanks to everyone for giving the reasons you selected your choice.
Great point, and interesting you would bring that configuration up. The one up two down has been my preference since the early 70s when I was a wee one.
Although this kit is a double virgin bass with 7 toms, it stems from, and is based on the 1 up, 2 down configuration. I will try and draw a birds eye view picture of it then post the picture.
