Blaemire Tom from Vintage Drum Bug Last viewed: 3 hours ago

I got this 10x13 from Vinny.

This is the way it came to me.

No wrap. Yey!

I have not worked on it yet.

It may become a concert tom because I really need a 13 to complete the line.

Legacy Blaemire concert toms do not show up every day.

My hole filling skills will be tested......again.

Scott

Thanks again Vinny!

Great score, Scott! Man I'm so envious of all the raw green glass shells you find. I'm on the wrong coast I guess for finding very many of Allen's drums. I might have to move to Cali!

Post shots of the drum after you do the fix-em-ups. Interesting how many of Allen's drums ended up with Ludwig hardware on them.

Very cool Scott! Haven't seen a 13" Blaemire tom surface in a while. It's a great size that will sound great too.

Have any of you guys ever bought a Blaemire drum that had Rogers, or Slingerland hardware on them? It seems like it's always Ludwig stuff that ended up on Allen's shells.

The ones I have obtained have had the following

No hardware.

Pearl lugs.

Gretsch lugs.

Ludwig lugs on the recent 13 with a pearl tom arm mount. (ouch big hole)

My main kit/kits all have Rogers lugs.

That's the way I built kit #1 in 1978. Rogers.

The Hal concert tom kit has Pearl lugs.

I found this kit a few years back. It was wrapped in a pretty sad looking silver glitter. I stripped and restored it to this outstanding Blaemire/Rogers example. The hardware was like brand new.

I restore two other snares with Rogers hardware. Very cool stuff.

Go ahead and drool John :)

Seeing the Swivo hardware and Beavertails on those gorgeous shells does more than make me drool... it gave me an, Anthony Wiener! Party

My all-time fav is the one with the Camco hardware!!!!!!

I used to see a guy at Venice Beach,CA who had a Camco hardware/ Blaemire shells set. I told him I'd buy em on the spot. "Not for sale" he said...Great looking tubes!
