Batterhead, yes! Your picture shows exactly what I was describing. Thanks.

I am (hopefully) about to recover my original 1400s that have been in a deceased band member's attic for 40 years. They are the type with the "L" clamp for the top rod. I am, needless to say, VERY anxious to see what condition they are in...they could be just like they were 40 years ago...nearly new!

Nice GG! After that kind of storage they should be in great shape. Maybe hit them with a little NOXON and a small amount of elbow grease and I'm sure they WILL look new!
