Selling them as they are...List them for sale with a price + shipping. (Sale section)Be detailed & upfront about the condition...lots if pics & theyl sell.If yr using this thread to "fish" for a price...it'll never sell smoothly.Good luck.Rims.
Good feedback. That's the kind of thing I'm trying to gut check. Not fishing for a price, but want to make sure I don't botch anything. Like the badges, BD hoops, snare shell - those are things I've never done before & I just want to be cautious. If taking some time to research & learn will make a huge difference, then I'll go for it. Otherwise, I think I'd leave it. Replacing snare hoops & missing/broken hardware is the easy part.
On the roundness of the shells, as I said, they're not perfect. However, the snare & ride tom tune up easily & nicely. The floor tom not so much. I'll take it to the local Gretsch guru for a look. If it can be fixed for a reasonable price, I think it's definitely worth it. If not, I'll just be up front with it on the sale. It's like one side of the shell has a "flat" spot. Never seen that before. I could tune it up, but it took some doing. Funny thing, the bottom isn't really bad at all, it's just the top.
