I picked up this cool Beverley Dual snare from the 30s a few weeks ago. It is a mechanical work of art and should clean up well and will take modern heads. Unfortunately one of the cast lugs is busted. I've just removed the others, and while they didn't break, they don't look like they'd take too much load. Finding a replacement for the broken one seems unlikely so i'm looking for ideas on how to move forward with this. I wondered if some tube lugs would work. The hole spacing is 70mm and I'd prefer not to drill any new ones. Any ideas?
Apart from the lug issue, everything, including snare wires, is there and working. Just need a foot pedal to operate the cable snare on/off, although there is a manual switch too.
