I have most of a drum set from the 1920s including the gong and temple blocks. The bass is white pearl, the snare is mahogany, and there is hardware with it. I would like to find someone who knows and cares about this vintage equipment. I'm new to this forum and thought I had posted this before but didn't see it. If I repeated myself I apologize.

I have yet to remove the canvass case as it is quite brittle and will be destroyed. I'm sure that is inevitable but I thought I'd wait.
Bub, just go as easy as you can removing the case. It's already shot all to hell so if any further damage occurs during removal you really can't make 'bad' any worse. It's not going to affect value. In your for sale ad you can mention that the original bags are in pretty ratty condition, but that you will include them in the sale if the buyer desires to have them.
I already like what I'm seeing peeking through the bag. That WMP looks perfectly aged. If the rest of the drum is in that condition your prospects for a sale will go up accordingly.
Post more photos please. The only way to assign value is by allowing us to see the -condition- of all the components of the kit.
