its a crazy world and if your not fair whats the use to it all, the guy did not need the money he was retiring to az did not want to move them (dont blame him)and wants a electronic kit i said if he clean them up would he of kept it he said most likely i still feel bad not offering him more than his asking price which believe u me it still was a steal but i went there on a shoestring as it was, well it must be fate, he said i was first responder and we did the deal over the phone no money down sent 50 for a deposit the phone is still ringing for that kit real nice old school guy wish him luck on his retirement! if i could retire id open up a store/ drum museum/ vintage band stuff....and play play play a different kit each day.........

Sounds like you had a nice trip and met a nice guy. Thats a plus when the seller turns out to be a nice, cool guy like that. Were all happy for you, hope we get to see them at the show. If not, hope we see ya there.

Thank you!

I would like to extend my congratulations on a great kit. And I bet that was one expensive set of drums in 78' I'm guessing at least 4k. I hope you keep them together. I'm a little disapointed for you that the bass drums are 24"s and not 26"s like you first thought. That would have raised the value considerably. Just for your FYI Danny Carey of the band Tool suposedly had an OctaPlus in Stainless.
