Are these "cleveland" drums with grey speckled interiors? Or, do they have flat grey interiors? No Fullerton toms came with Cleveland era kits. Period. Some Fullerton era, early Fullerton era drums, utilized leftover badges at the time of the mover from Covington to Fullerton CA. Those drums have grey speckled interiors and cleveland or dayton tags. There are genuine kits that came from the factory with a Cleveland, Dayton, Fullerton mix of TAGS. These were five ply shells, painted grey speckled on the interiors. They are identifiable as drums that came together. Fullerton toms did not come on cleveland kits. I have a three ply Cleveland 1964 kit. I have a five ply 1966 Cleveland Dayton transition kit. But I can identify that the drums came together from the factory.Frankly I dont care how shiney they are, that bass drum has been hacked on.

That's right, someone at the Rogers factory! Special order.

From the above.......

Probably not original as a set.

Its a bit over priced.

Yours has an extra mount. It has part of a double tom mounting system. It has one incorrect tom. Its just not worth that much.

Right, but look at the price. You said I'd be lucky to get $600, ha! Obviously the guys at Steve Maxwells don't care if they were made as a kit.

Then you dont have a cleveland floor tom and bass drum.

You have THREE fullerton drums. Plus, the only possible way the WRAP could match if these drums are of the SAME Era. Either Cleveland Dayton or Fullerton by itself. Not a mix. The later Dayton era, and Fullerton era sparkle wrap is different than the Cleveland, early Dayton era wrap. And the bass drum has been hacked on. And a drum is missing. Its still not worth a grand. Not in this economy, and probably not in a high market either.

You could have avoided all this trouble by adequately describing and researching your stuff to begin with. Instead, you...... on your own...... have made a crapload of enemies.

For sale prices and sold prices often dont reflect identical amounts.

I bet you really are a pain in the ass to deal with as a seller, or a buyer.

I will remember that, as I am sure everyone else will as well.

I know how to read, the tags say Cleveland, shall I take a picture? I'm done with you.

It really does matter what the tags say here. The interiors of your drums and the presence of a Fullerton tag with Cleveland/Dayton tags date them positively as Fullerton first issue drums, made immediately after the move from Covington to Fullerton, Ca. This would be 1969.

You have early Fullerton era drums. And your extra cymbal mount was not installed at the factory. Thats where the double tom mount was installed. The forward most location is the proper location. The current location of your double tom post is totally bastard. It is not original. And it grossly devalues the set. And there is a drum missing, this would have been a five piece configuration, two toms on the bass drum. It is still incomplete.

Decisions to buy are made primarily on the information provided by the seller. If the seller is grossly inept, then, the buyer is usually disappointed. If the seller really doesnt know what he has to begin with, then it is impossible for the buyer to make an informed decision. The progression of this thread is very indicative of that. You provided really faulty information, and only badgering managed to nail it down to enough specific information that an accurate determination could be made.

But you have learned a lot about your drums druing this little tirade.

Sincerely,

Your Local Snobs.
