Vinny Appice shreddin' it!!

I was always a fan of Carmine's, and I am just in the process of discovering his brother. I came across this vid of him soloing, and wow!!! Had no idea of what a solid drummer this guy was. Check it out!

Bowing

There are so many ''good parts'' in this vid I can't even count all of them. I was really impressed by his fills and triplets, but especially by the ga-roooving that starts at around 2:21. Holy macaroni the first fill he did in like the third bar of that groove! I heard Vinny and Carmine had the same teacher, I am very curious to hear what a monster he must be... I also saw him sitting in with sabbath and they did War Pigs. He killed it! (that is, in a good way;))

I saw him in 1981 on the "Heaven and Hell" tour. He's legit.

I'll have to try that thing with the two Chinas (5:05).

I'd like to see some still pics of that ginormous kit! I didn't realize he played a monster. Only familiar with his Dio work - kick-ass.
