New Mutant Project - Ludwig Standard Strata

Decided to put together a new Mutant Jazzer. This time, the Ludwig Standard Strata's will be the theme.

I've currently got a 12 inch Blue Strata tom that is almost complete. This picture was taken with the lights a bit dim. It is a bit more "alive" than shown here.

I have picked up a 14 Red Strata floor (from a wonderful member on this very forum). It needs a bit of work. I'll begin that project Spring Break.

Today, I picked up a nice 14 Gold Strata snare. I'll assess that when I take delivery. Looking forward to this one.

Still looking for a 20 Strata bass. Would prefer a bronze or lemon. Please help locate one if you could.

This is going to be a fun little jazz kit. I put calf on the other Mutant Jazzer and it plays unbelievably well. The heads have seated well and it has a very nice warm tone.

Worked on the 14 floor. It was in ... semi-rough ... shape. Wrap was pulling and was mottled and splotchy. Very dirty. Before pics.

wrong person, didn't mean to send that post to you about the gold sparkle. I'm sorry. you have been very helpful, it's just that everyone has told me this is the place to get help, advice or sell, and I have been here all day, and have gotten nothing but negativity. Not selling them right, not the color I say they are, not this , not that. Just really frustrated. Really ust want to learn more about my set, and what I can do to improve. actually dont care if I selll them or not. Never played drums before, always wanted to and found this set cheap and thought cool, relive an old dream. found out what they were and thought someone who apprechiates them would want them before I break em not knowing what I'm doing. So again sorry and leaving this site. hope everyone reads this, cause thanks for chasing me away, and not being more like this man and helping

I was stumped at that reply. I looked at my wife and she looked at me. We just sat there flummoxed. Then it hit me...

JELLY BEAN!!!

I get it now.

Strata BEAN. Cool. Yeah, that works. I like it.
