Slingy Question

Loading...

Lets construct a timeline here.

My 70's Slingy bass I have handy faces the audience. Am I hearing that the Black and Gold badges faces the player?

Rogers scrpit faces the audience

70's B/O Ludwig faces the drummer

Keystones face the drummer I hear? Always? I don't have a keystone bass drum (gotta change that!).

Fun little project here!

The drum spurs are indeed the key!

My black and gold 59-60 Chicago badge faces the audience! This drove me nuts as it was time to finally begin putting the hardware back on the bass drum I've been working on. I started with the slingly bass drum spurs I bought to replace the rogers swivo legs that were added (not by me) to the drum. I figured the badge should be facing the batter head and I attached the spurs accordingly. Well, they ended up pointing at me instead of the reso side of the drum! This is what prompted my original question. Unless someone has removed the badge on my drum and then re attached it backwards (you never know:)), then my badge faces the audience.

Anyway, glad that Im not the only one that has been driven crazy by this before! I thought I was going to be laughed out of here!

Sitting behind my 70s black/silver badge Slingy kit the bass drum label faces the audience (so they can read it, not me) while the badges on both rack toms also are located where the audience can read them (I can't even see these) but they would have to look at the kit from each side to read each one.

My 56-59 black & gold Chicago badge also faces the audience (reso side). The badge is tight and does not move.

Now. All we need to know about is the Black and Gold Niles badges from the 60's? I am pretty sure they are all facing the audience. Doesn't that make the most sense from an advertising standpoint?

How about WFL?
