Nice kit you have. I love to see em in original, unpolished condition. The color is desirable, but I won't put it at rare on the Rogers scale. I also like your one piece footboard bass drum pedal. The cracked pearl and missing snare frame on the dyna, are issues. No biggie on some cracks in the lugs as that is rather common.

That's a great story about your dad being the original owner. During the Clev era, Rogers had offices in Cleveland, but your drums were made about 4 hours south of Detroit, just off I-75 in Covington. Enjoy!

Thanks guys, I like the original 'patina' as well! Wish I still had the Rogers hi-hat stand! I remember when he tossed the old one in the garbage. It was completely worn out! The footboard was almost worn in half, I kid you not! Would have been cool for pics, or just to save the footboard.

I do have all the original hardware for the dyna, it just isn't on the drum at the moment. And none of the lugs are cracked upon close inspection. Is there any way of repairing the crack in the pearl wrap, or should I just leave it alone?

It's just a great sounding set, and it has been making it's way onto a few recordings! If either of my nephews take up drums, they'll go to them.

Uncle Plushie, those are outstanding drums. You should enjoy them. The wrap should be professionally corrected. Please don't attempt a do it yourself fix. Man those are sweet.

There are quite a few people capable of repairing that crack. Jack Lawton would be your best bet.

With deference to the Ploughman, Jack Lawton is an extremely good friend of mine!, and he is without a doubt one of the BEST out there!... but ... he's in PA... you're in CA... there has to be a reputable guy/shop NEAR YOU which would save a lot of packing/shipping costs as you wouldn't be going cross country. Perhaps someone will chime in with a recommendation of a shop/guy on the west coast!

I did check out Jack's website, and I'm sure he is more than capable! But like you said, it would be nice to find someone on the west coast.
