I hear that Ross Garfield of Drum Doctors does a lot of work for some very famous drummers out in LA. I'm not sure how much of his work is rentals and tech, and how much is restoration. I've never dealt with him and don't know his work, so I can't comment on whether he's the right guy for this job... but he does have an impressive client list. Might be worth a phone call.

I talked to my dad this morning, and told him I posted pics of his old drums up here. He got a real kick out of it, and is glad you enjoyed the pics and story behind the kit. He is still playing out once in a while, but on a modern DW kit, which he loves!
