Need help id'ing my dad's old drums. Rogers-Cleveland era

My first post to this forum, let me start by saying what I don't know about vintage drums could fill a book! I'm a bassist, so please bear with me.

My dad bought these Rogers drums brand new directly from the factory. He says around 1958 to 1960, but he isn't positive. He drove from Detroit(where he was a first call jazz drummer) to Cleveland. He told me he decided on Rogers because they sounded the best to him, and the rock solid adjusting hardware. These have always been kept in fiber cases since new, and he played them literally every night until around 1985. He sent them to me, here in southern California about 5 years ago, where they have taken residence in my friend's recording studio. They still sound incredible!

This is what I've been able to come up with by reading this forum, and talking to drum guys. They have 'bread and butter' lugs and the color is 'Wine Red Ripple'(amazing color!) The snare is a Dyna-Sonic model, serial number 2758. The original Dyna Sonic snare bridge is not in place, but I still have it. The bass measures 22"x16" with the original color matching hoops. Both toms are 13"x10", and the floor tom is 16"x16". The floor tom has a very small crack in the color wrap(see photo.) Other than that, they are in incredible condition considering the age. They have the original Rogers bottom heads. Also in the photos is a Ludwig piccolo snare, serial number 1685429. Any info on that would be helpful as well!

I also have some of his original cymbals from that era as well. All are Avedis Zildjian, made in the USA. The photo of the stamp is the same on all the cymbals, except for a slight variation in size. There is a 20" sizzle ride, a 16" crash, and 3 more 20" rides(two with very slight keyholes.) Wish the cymbal stamp pics came out better, but less than optimal lighting in the studio prevented that.

Any help in id'ing this set and cymbals would be greatly appreciated!

These are beautiful drums. Another forum member just picked up a very similar kit. He might be able to help out with info. I don't know my Rogers, but I know you've got a fantastic set there. There are Rogers experts on the forum who should chime in shortly.

Mike T says the set is called a TopHat, has 2-13, and the tom mounting hardware is called a "dog bone". The wrap is called Wine Red Ripple. He will tell you they are worth at least 1500, maybe more with that particular wrap. Very nice set, BTW. Are there hairline fractures in the lugs? This was a very common problem with these "B&B" lugs.

This may or may not be the right name for this set, but in another post, that is what he called one like it.

Those drums hail from 1963 based on the serial number of the Dynasonic.
