uh. i thought a little friendly ribbing was acceptable here. the only point i was trying to make was for someone with as many posts as gilnar does he should know how the cymbal id process works. no harm meant whatsoever. and jaye, he was asking for a value on the pie. sorry gilnar if that was taken the wrong way.

In fact, I probably don't know how the cymbal id process works. I looked at the cymbal and thought: "Hmm, old cymbal. Lathing resembles Ks a bit. Let's ask somebody who saw more and knows what to really look for." That's all.

First time I hjave ever seen a "Blue Panther" snare...that is a vinyl covering on the snare and will deaden the sound somewhat. And if the pair is cheap, go for it, it could easily be a nice set up, and I know how hard it is to get good stuff in your part of the world.

I would like to take this time to point out that it wasn't me this go around. I'm not the one who got pie on the face. I actually gave good info and didn't get nailed for pulling a prank. I'm so happy. It wasn't me. So rare these days.

If I were a betting man I'd say that cymbal was a Zanchi style Italian cymbal.I had a Zanchi 16" crash and it looked very similar to that one.It also broke after not too much use-too bad I didn't have cymbal springs then....Maxwin snare-blah.

Heh, I'm not exactly sure if this snare is "good stuff"... but yes, vintage drums are quite scarce here, if that's what you meant.
