I'd say it's what the set is worth right now....blue olive or keystone?
They all need new heads and are very dirty
Depending on the condition of the finish (any scratches, gouges, etc) these are worth 2-3 times the asking price. Black Panther is a RARE finish, so it would be a good investment at that price. $500 as the true value is a bit on the low side.
Well I recently saw a set in with mega TLC needed go for $75. And around 4 weeks ago I saw a pretty mint looking one with dual floor toms go for$650. So, I'd say the price is FAIR.But, not a steal.
Now he want's me to pimp his ride for the drums. I think in fixin to do a deal with this guy.

Sure wasn't on ebay because I watch for Ludwigs finished in Black Panther on there like a hawk. :D
I'd love to know where you saw these deals.....
Just on craigslist. If you could get and do some work on his car...that sounds like a fair deal to me.
Sounds cool to me too, but he knows who I am and what kind of business I run.
Mine, is the best auto trim shop in this part of the country. I've had many mentions in magazines. Collecting, and restoring drums is much cheaper than collecting and restoring cars!
