Remo Djembe in critical condition! Help!

Almost done now. Sanded bearing edge back down and had a few tiny voids. I reapplied the exopy. I clamped one of my snare drum stackers to the inside of the shell and squirted more epoxy in the little voids. Waiting again

Ok It's done. It looks fabulous now! I got the bearing edge back up to snuff. I took it outside and set it upside down the concrete and rotated the drum pushing down on it and ground it down just enough to make the bearing edge cete properly. The concrete trick really works! lol

Now to tun the dang thing!

Way to go! NOt sure if it's just the photo angle, but the repair looks a little high of the rest of the edge. You can level it easily by putting a piece of sandpaper face up on a flat table and rotating the shell over it.

I sanded the top of the shell with a sanding block, and hand sanded the rest, then I took it outside and rotated the shell on some course concrete. That really works great! Its all good. You can hardly tell it has been repaired. Im waiting a while before I put the head back on. Im gonna make sure the epoxy is all cured.
