Would that be Krut cymbals?

I have one, made in England.

Would you need another?

Hey Utility1:

Awesome set! Hope the rehab is going well. Attached is a pic of my similar set, in its current configuration.

With respect to the 12" hoop & skins, I may be of some assistance. Frankly, that was a REAL problem when I was rehabbing mine. If you haven't discovered this yet, that 12" tom is a "pre-international" size, before the drum manufacturers got together to agree on uniform sizes (late 60s, maybe?). Its also sometimes called "metric." The 12" heads available today will NOT fit in the mid-1960s Beverley 12" hoop. The Beverley tom from that era is actually about 11-3/4" or so.

First, you may have a real problem finding any replacement hoops for that drum. Most of the current 12" hoops have 6-lugs, not 5 as on the Beverley. And with the weird size, it was VERY difficult to find a drumhead that fit. I was even considering just getting new hoops and lugs and see if I could make them fit on the tom. But as mentioned, it was difficult to find a 12" 5-lug hoop, and I really didn't want to drill any holes in this vintage drum to install a 6-lug hoop. Ultimately, I ended up sending one of the original 1966 heads to the REMO Company to have them put one together that actually fit. If you ever need that REMO head part number, let me know.

Anyway, good luck with the set. I love mine.

peace,

JJ

I did not know this. It has to be a beverley rim- maybe premier? heads too? BumpI used to see beverley stuff on E-bay in the past - even with this wrap occasionally. I just measured - floor & snare are 13 3/4, kick 19 3/4. Beverley metric. Nice set JJ, I like 'em.

Utility1

I recently purchased a John Grey set from the 50s in pre-international sizes. The previous owner has some contact info for purchasing heads and hoops from England. If you like, I will contact him for the info.

Lovely set! I have a gold wrap Beverley (it's in the drum gallery somewhere), but it's post international size. Having said that, I had no problem getting a 12" tom head on my pre-international Premier, and seeing Premier made Beverley, It may be just that certain heads fit better. I will say that heads with a really shallow hoop would have problems, as when you fit it you can sort of see a bit of space between hoop and drum. However I still can't replace the floor tom heads on it! Also www.stdrums.de do tons of good parts, including 5-lug 12" hoops.
