Sounds like another Holiday time closet score! I just came across my 62 OBP set 2 weeks ago. I'm having a hard time finding any info on their value as well, oh well... enjoy the kit!

Values are all over the place these days. It's really hit or miss. But your "Ringo" kit is off the wall in terms of value -definitely at the high end. It really depends on how many Ringo collectors are out and about at any given time.

A whole lot going on in the OP.

1) If your father was a contemporary of the golden age of the Cavern then he has first hand knowledge of some important historical times not just in music, but arguably in pop culture. I personally would love to hear the stories.

2) His comment is probably retrospective. I think the Beatles had ceased playing at the Cavern by the time Ringo changed from his Premier kit to the Ludwig one.

3) Your kit is in the UK. Add value for that (although it washes out since you live there and deal in sterling).

In any case, how much they're worth will depend on the photos in addition to the point made below about what "Ringo collectors" are in the market at any given time. Let's see those pics mate!
