Not accusing you of anything O-Lugs. You've been there when I needed help...lots of times. I'll help you out with this set tomorrow. But, if you do want a good deal...not that this isn't. You will need to work him down to $450-$500 ange.

And one more thing. The bass drum has been re-painted due to the fact that the bearing edge has been painted over...Ludwig never did this. Bearing Edge:Where the drum head comes in contact with the wood of the drum.

I have set of 1969 Ludwig Standards that have the interior painted with that greyish black spackled looking paint and the bearing edges are in fact painted.

Those are standards and not classics though.

My mistake, I thought that they used the same practices for both.

From O-Lugs

That's true. They could be original. I've seen them before, too.

Indeed posible John Bohnam had the same dual straight telescoping spurs on his first maple kit in 1968...and many big bass drums from the swing era had the same ones..

Extra holes, repainted interiors, minuses for a collector.

I would still say that's a decent price though, for a very nice player set. They look to be in nice shape otherwise.
