I acquired the 1950's Gretsch cocktail set consisting of the large drum and the bongo tom. The large drum has the little fan of snares under the top head--we all know how lousy this sounds. The drum was made as a single-headed drum. There was a wooden hoop held to the bottom with little brads for cosmetic purposes. Since there were already extra holes in the shell, I felt no guilt when I installed the right Gretsch lugs and a bottom head to the drum. That wooden hoop was a perfect fit for a bottom hoop on the batter head. I bought a cheap little popcorn snare online. It was wrapped with plain black held on by tape. A forum friend said that he was stripping an old Sky Blue Gretsch bass drum, and would send me the old wrap pieces. This was a perfect match to the cocktail drum and bongo tom. The only pedal brackets I could find for securing my reversible drum pedals to the cocktail drum's legs were absurdly expensive. BUT.....Gibralter cocktail pedals complete with mounting bracket were on sale for only $99 at a few online suppliers. Here's the outfit with the pedal and bracket. I can use whatever pedal I want to use with this bracket. But, the Gibralter pedal that came with is is a darn good pedal.

The Rogers is wrapped in Blue Pearl from Precision.
Apologies to the forum - I just realized this was an older thread and that I probably would have chimed in. Which I did. Sorry for the double post.
Old age sucks!
Here is a before and after of my Camcos (12, 12, 14, 20 with snare). I purchased these unfairly cheap from a fella looking to right a debt. 90% of the lugs were there, it was missing two original COB 12" hoops, one BD hoop, one COB snare side hoop, one spur, and the throw off. I am still not 100% positive what these were wrapped with originally except one BD hoop had a blue sparkle inlay. Because of the washers and lug design, and the tall hoops, and the Eddie Knight stamp (not sticker) I believe them to be early Oaklawn era.
The wrap I got from a fellow Camco enthusiast David down in Australia. The bass drum hoops are modern maple hoops, I cut the inlay. I found reproduction Oaklawn badges online. Even from relatively up close these look amazing, but there are details I wish I had paid better attention to. It was my first attempt at wrapping drums and it shows in certain areas.
First pic was the day I got them home and started figuring out what they were.
Second picture is of the last outdoor gig we played before COVID.
Last pic was set up 2 weeks ago...getting back out there a little.
What type of white wrap is on the Camcos? Could it be White 3-D Moire like on my re-wraps? re-wrap tom and original Camco Tuxedo snare.

It absolutely is. When I got these I decided I wanted to do something different. I have pearl wraps, and a few sparkle orphans, but no moire or satin flame. I started looking up satin flame and came across the 3D and fell in love. I reached out on the Camco FB group and met David who was selling some leftovers. Shipping sucked, but it was worth it in the end.
