A couple more pictures of the above-mentioned drums.

Neither, It's the new version Ludwig currently uses.
I can say no more.
Jammin Sam's would be the better option between the two you mentioned and I initially tried to buy from him but it didn't work out. To my benefit in the long run.
This wrap is from JS
A Mid-60's rescue project. The original Gretsch satin flame finish - and hardware - had been painted red by the last guy. Impossible to clean up due to paint-filled cracks and spiderwebs, so I opted for a classic wrap. Now it's yellowed so it looks somewhat original.

Looks great. How did you get it to yellow?
Several hours of jamming in a small room with Cousin Kinky could yellow those drums in a hurry.

Ok, so here goes. After 5 years or so of toing and froing, I finally bit the bullet and commissioned Sweden's finest drum builder to do a complete overhaul - edges, ply separation, holes filled, rewrap etc - of my ca 1962 Gretsch Progressive Jazz kit. He recommended Starlight Sparkle as a very elegant choice, and I had to concur. Now, I couldn't be happier. This is the most beatiful drumkit I have ever seen. :)
Here is a little prehistory from this forum.
I attach a couple of pics of my fabulous kit in its pretty new dress.
