Yes... I needed another table like a hole in the head:rolleyes:... I definitely will be it's saviour from a mundane past decade or so... Thanks for the info & links.. First thing will be strip it down & remove the rough coat of dark walnutty varnish covering the internal shell & rings. It actually looks like a Beech shell under that.

I'd leave it alone

they returned to Birch in 1976.

with those leg brackets 1976 and Birch makes sense.

If it's tone is good leave the insides.
