Slingerland Deluxe Student Sparkling Green Pearl

A real gem Mark. Everything appears as it should.

slingerfan!

I couldn't be happier with this drum! Already found two nice Slingerland tension rod washers in my parts stash. I've now got about 3 snare drums waiting to be cleaned and detailed. Even though I moved a little over 5 months ago, my garage is still very unorganized! Once organized, I'll get a nice table to work on drums. Right now, though, it's too incredibly hot to even think about working out in the garage!

C'mon Mark, you can knock this one out at the kitchen table with the A/C on! (LOL)

I can empathize about adequate work space. I had a large workbench in the garage at our large house that we sold in 2013 to downsize our empty-nester lives. There is no workbench or room for one in the garage at our new house. My little Black & Decker portable workbench works pretty well for most smaller projects out on the back patio when the weather is cooperative.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

I would LOVE to say I could, but I really can make a mess. My small kitchen table and dining room table are already full of stuff from other things I'm working on!

I have a nice 1.5 car garage, with plenty of upper storage space and even cabinets! Fact is, I've just been too lazy to put things away. Well, that, plus it's incredibly hot right now! I have a thermostat in the garage and it's currently 101 degrees!

Our garage is a two car configuration. But, half of it is still cram full of stuff from our last house and larger garage.

Yes, definitely the same situation! I really will get my garage organized...as there are drums waiting to be worked on!

Hi eamesuser!

I started collecting the Slingerland Deluxe Student snare drums years ago, when everyone was just passing them up and prices were low. Then, the word got out that these 6-luggers were wonderful sounding drums and the prices started increasing! By this time, I had already acquired "sparkling pearls" in Red, Blue, Silver and Gold. Like you, I always loved Slingerland's "Sparkling Green Pearl", but finding a Deluxe Student in this wrap, and for a reasonable price, seemed like the proverbial "needle in a haystack". When this drum showed up on eBay, for the reasonably low BIN price, it took me under 10 seconds to act! I'm glad I did!
