Hi all,I have a 15" Slingerland Marching Snare, 1958. Inside written in pencil is "North East Legion Fireman Band" I'm in the UK, so not that clued up. Anyone care to shed some light if possible.

Here's the skinny on the FD band, read down to see when the FD band joined in.

Thanks :) Being in Scotland I did not know what the Legion was. It's nice to catch up, and learn a bit of history.

We've got lots of members with lots of information! I learn something new every day!

I've seen sets and snare drums in Capri Pearl, but never a marching drum. Very cool!

I was thinking North East, Pa. Interesting name since it really is in the north western part of Pennsylvania. But it does sit on the shore of north east Lake Erie which makes for a particularly snowy existence!

I'll bet there were more than one in the band colors and there may be more sit'n in a firehouse somewhere in Pa.
