'66 Ludwig Club Date Bop Kit Value?

Loading...

Hi folks,

A friend of mine has had this kit for decades and is thinking of selling. I'm hoping some of the Ludwig gurus on the forum can help assess value.

To my untrained eye, it looks pretty original, right down to the batter and resonant drum heads! I'm interested in the value of the 3-piece 18-14-12 shell pack by itself, and then any comments as to value of the hardware (Speed King bass pedal, hi-hat stand, cymbal stand, WFL snare stand). Ignore the cymbals for now.

Thank you!

Really nice kit! I have no idea what you should pay just wanted to comment on what a nice kit it is. The sizes should make it valuable I would think.

Thank you!

Look on Reverb and see what similar kits are selling for and then offer a little less because it's a local sale.

Thanks gentlemen. Just for clarity, I'm not looking to buy -- just trying to provide some assistance to my friend.

I've never seen a Club Date with an 18" kick, may be a rare kit.

None of my business really, but is there any reason you don't have any interest? It's so clean and original, I'd have hard time letting him sell it to someone else.

I'm trying to keep life simple. Although not a collector by any measure, I have too many drum sets (2) and way too many cymbals. Need to thin the herd before anything new is considered.

I hear ya.

Are you positive of the sizes? the 18'' bass drum is a really big deal?
