Well then, what do you call what you do? Do you honestly expect us to believe that you don't go looking for drums for the purpose of flipping? That appears to be exactly what you do, and you've been doing it for years. I can understand if you have everyday financial needs that force you to sell drums, but is that the case? Look, you can do what you want, but nobody else here has the turnover you do. There's nothing wrong with buying drums to flip, but to say you don't, well, I find that hard to believe.
I call it being savy, I'll usally find a good or decent deal on a vintage kit, from a trade or buying it. I can't afford or even want more than two kits at a time, so I'll sell or trade a kit to get something different. I usually don't make much of a profit if I sell a kit, most of my kits have come from trades. Now, I have bought a few kits over the years with the intent of flipping. Every once in a while a deal pops up and if I have extra cash, I'll take advantage of it.
