It is already quite ugly from one nattering nabob of negativity (thanks to the disgraced Spiro Agnew for that term). I've never been a DW fan. Maybe because I was a Camco owner and fan from the Oak Lawn days. But, if anyone can resurrect my favorite brand of drums, I think that DW could do it.

What you consider negativity, I consider being loyal to the authentic Slingerland drum company.

Really doubtful.

Unless I'm missing something, a visit to their website shows only snares and hardware for sale, no toms, BDs, or full kits, so I can't imagine it having any impact on the vintage stuff.

I hope the new Slingerland line is more complete.

I'll wait for one of you guys to waste your money on a dw Slingerland and report back when you try to sell and lose a bundle. You're all MAD! DW had once again used their marketing scheme to sap the gullible American public. I thought vintage guys would have more sense than to fall for their tactics. Say it ain't so.Violin

And everybody is wrong except you, right? Your attitude amazes me more than your inability to hold onto any drumset for more than a month. Lame

The Slingerland drum company ceased to exist decades ago in case you didn't know. I think you need to get over it.
