Ludwig Club Date

Be careful, the site nanny will you send you a message about keeping it vintage, or at least she sent one to me.

Hi

That's a nice outfit, I really like the Turquoise finish.

I'm certain, though, that we don't post new equipment here at VDF.

No offense meant at all, just concerned about keeping this site about vintage items only.

Thanks!

Kevin

I've posted a few "Modern" kits here and so far I haven't received any such messages.

I can sorta understand that if people were posting new dw, Pearl, Tama or Yamaha kits, but a lot of the new Ludwig gear is reminiscent of vintage drums and let's not forget, Ludwig has around for over 100 years.Keep on Pl

I love the new club dates. Dale's in Harrisburg usually has 5 or 6 sets and recently had a sweet set with mahogany shells. (no financial interest btw) Supposed to be very limited due to keeping good mahogany for the legacy kits.

Believe it or else!

It's a great sounding kit, the imperial lugs, small keystone badges, die cast claws and fold out spurs are a nice touch.

I understand the mystique of vintage drums, that's why we all love them, but when a kit sounds good, it sounds good, I don't care when it was made. Ludwig also has a knack for producing that vintage look and sound out of modern drums. I love all things Ludwig, except maybe the imports.Toilet

The old wood shells have a mojo, non other can create and they have a certain quality that’s timeless.

Granted there condition is everything but nevertheless my 50 year old kit will sing with the best even with out original heads...

That’s all I’m saying , from a professional point of veiw any new top of the line drums with today’s technological advances make most instruments great . But why are modern musician looking for old school , maybe because they got the look and and sound that makes era correct song sounds like they are supposed too ....
