From amosguy

The Rob Cook books dates as follows:9/72 badge series was in production 1972 through 1975 and was the last of the Swivo era Rogers. 1972 – Serial # underlined with no prefix1973 - letter "A" followed by serial #1974 - letter "B" followed by serial #1975 – Serial #, no underline or prefix

in the Rob Cook book there are a lot of things that are incorrect

not saying this particular info is incorrect ... but the book has plenty of mistakes

Then why post this comment if you do not know this information is incorrect?

I do know

I simply said that there is a lot of misinformation in the Cook book ... meaning it is not always the trusted source people once thought it was

Sorry, still confused. Is the date / badge information I posted correct or not to your knowledge?

I'm curious why someone would write a book on Rogers drums and not have all the correct information.

it was thought to be correct at the time I'm sure

there are some contradictions in the book ... and some incorrect dating ... etc

it's a great book ... all the catalog stuff alone is worth the price tag

but it really shouldn't be used to date certain things

I'm in touch with people who worked for Rogers in Covington and Dayton and they have confirmed that the things I suspected to be incorrect are indeed incorrect

be well gentlemen

Thanks Glenn great to hear from you buddy!

Thinking on walnut veneer for them.

I already have most of the missing parts thanks to ebay and good friends here on the forum.

Thank you!
