Star Badge - What Era?

I recently acquired this Star badge for my collection...I have never come across this badge before...What era is it from?

That's an interesting badge for sure.

I know that when they first made the change over to Tama from Star, the very early Tama badges had "Perfect Percussion" on them. Maybe it's a very late or last issue Star badge before they became Tama?

Very common on the latin american bongos. Ive had 3 sets of bongos with that badge. Ive got 1 set left im restoring. Looking at brochure pics from drumarchive approx 1972. There are a couple of people on here with these bongos apart from myself.

Makes sense now...My first instinct was percussive drums such as congas, bongos, etc.

Must admit it is a cool badge well worth going in your collection. My bongos are nearly finished just getting some new calf skins which im fitting.
