Sorry, forgot to upload photos.

Impressive, both the wear on the neglected one and the new one you fashioned. I'm afraid I haven't the tools or skills to tackle that though!

All I used was a hacksaw to cut to length, and some steel wool to polish it up a bit, with the piece in a cordless drill chuck. I did use a file to make the flat part on the end, but it's not necessary. It's really very easy.

Good job on the shaft 8upwithit. Just shows if you put your mind to it these parts can be made with as you say simple tools. I myself for various drums have made parts. Even down to making my own snare wires for premier royal ace/john grey etc etc.

Thanks, Sean. Being retired, I have to be tinkering with something all the time, that is, when I'm not doing some household project for my wife ;)

So the pedal arrived earlier this week. I took it apart and was surprised to find proper roller bearings instead of the bushings one would expect from this generation of Swivo. Granted, it looks like a J65 not the B68 (fewer bearings) but I was still surprised and will probably just leave them alone if the pedal feels right, will try it out tonight at practice...
