hi john, bet you wasn't expecting to hear from me, huh? well i still kinda lurk around on here from time to time, (gotta keep an eye on you boys)

i really hate reading about your health and that it has caused you to have to make the discission to sell your drums. but i do understand and wish i was in the position where i could help you out. i can share your offers with some of my drummer friends. i will definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers. i think of you often and brag about the snares i bought from you alot, especially the 64 jazzfest, its my favorite. well, you take care, i'll be around and checking back in again. best of luck with your sells. i hope it all works out for you my friend.

Stay Wiggly,
Robyn

Thanks again ALL for the kind words and well-wishes. I just heard from Jeremy, the owner of W&A and he is going to help me find a new home for Big Blue! I have bites on a couple of the kits, but no hard cash yet. Get 'em while the gettin's good.

Good to hear from you Robyn! Stay wiggly!

John

John - one of your big fans from way back. The body can heal itself if given the right food and nourishment and love. I'm convinced of that. :)

If you decide to part separately with the jazzfest snare sky blue pearl let me know. peace and good health :)

From Purdie Shuffle

Thanx for the kind words guys. Much appreciated...Justin - If you know how to contact Jeremy, could you please let him know that Blue is up for grabs? Thank you in advance...John

I am sad to hear of your health issues and will keep an ear out for anyone looking for full kits. Please list any snares you may be putting on the block as well.

Jeremy Esposito is on Facebook and is VERY responsive to messages - seems like a very cool guy and I'm sure he'd respond with great enthusiasm on that kit.

Please take care and God bless you

John

I'm so sorry to hear about your health issue , John. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease 12 years ago , and that was devastating for me. I now take medication for the rest of my life, but i'm in remission and doing really great. My case is minor, but if not taken care of, can get bad.. This is why i take great care of myself and have been doing so for the past decade.. I usually see my Dr. for a routine check up twice a year, and he's actually said that i'm in very good health for someone with my condition. 10 years ago, I became a born again Christian, and i can't tell you how much that's helped me in my life. I find that prayer is an extremely powerful thing when it comes directly from the heart and soul of a person, and can actually work miracles. I'm 100% convinced of that. During those crazy days, I almost overdosed one night after binge drinking and mixing different types of drugs. That was my wake up call to reassess my life and priorities. 6 months later, I became a born again Christian, and i swear to you with every fiber of my being, that my life changed for the better. My health was at 100%, i quit smoking, stopped the recreational drugs, and cut down almost completely with the alcohol. I work out and eat as healthy as humanly possible. This could only have happened with God's help, and not of my own freewill. I'm a pretty stressful person, but i'm working on that as well, because life is too short to worry about the small things, and in your case as well as many others with a medical condition, it couldn't be anymore true to that fact. I also would like to thank you for some of the good advice you've given me every time i posted a thread and had questions about vintage drums, and other related subject matter. I will certainly be saying a special prayer for you and your loved ones, and without sounding to "preachy", I sincerely hope to God that he will strengthen your health, your state of mind, and your perseverance for the future. God bless, and good luck with your sale. I'm positive you will sell everything quickly at the prices you've put on them.

Cheers,

Rob

Hang in there Purdie... Hope you move on the kits with a minimum of fuss.. Sorry to hear of your illness.. means some major adjustments to you lifestyle.

( Note.. one of my brother in laws built & successfully raced sedans for around 15 years .. all of which time he was taking dialysis twice/ three times a week ). He set several lap records in the bargain...

Cheers

John
