Early 80's Pearl USA Maple Rewrap

Thanks for the compliments guys!

The pictures don't do this wrap justice. It is really deep for a sparkle, and not a glass glitter.

I think one of the things that keeps older Pearl drums from being more valued is that the lug design was used and is still probably used on most generic stencil kits from the early 70's onward, as well as on these pro level drums. Had Pearl made a "Signature" lug for this level, like they do with their current lines, they would be more identifiable as higher quality. Personal opinion ( and we all know what those are like!).

I would love to find a matching orphan 18" X 16" floor tom. If anybody knows where one may be hiding........

The guy who has the below craigslist ad might be able to help you with regard to Pearl drums. If he doesn't have the drum he could probably find it for you. He's a Pearl guru and works for Pearl as well.

Here are a couple of photos where I reglued the outer ply on the bottom edge on the 12" tom. The 10" did not require this. The bearing edges are great.

Great job on the wrap!! I love the US Pearl's. I collect snares from that era. Currently at four and always looking for another one or two or three. Hahahaha!!
