Wow! The GC website pics totally undersold the Pearl M-814X snare! I was expecting something much rougher.

It's walnut lacquer and looks great! It has an S-017 parallel strainer that so far seems to be complete and functions great. I had planned on wrapping it to match but it's far too nice to strip and rewrap. I'm going to go to Lowe's in the morning and get some Johnson's Paste Wax, and leave it alone. If it were Piano Black, it would look really great, but I can live with the Walnut lacquer.

Here are some poor pictures, I'll clean all of the chrome and the strainer, and get some better ones soon.

That Titanium sparkle looks great ! Beautiful set. Those will look super under stage lights.
