I think I already posted a pic of the kids elsewhere here, but since this is the re-wrap thread, here are mine. I used Jammin Sam silver sparkle to wrap the orphan toms, the bass drum is the original wrap:

For the sake of time and bandwidth, I'll only post a few pics, but here is a 1958/59 Slingerland kit I restored. The snare drum was in the worst shape of all the drums. I cleaned the rust stains off the shell with a Magic Eraser, lightly sanded the WMP with 1000 and 2000 grit sand paper to clean it up a little more, then polished with Novus 2, and replaced a few broken/missing parts.

For the kit, I stripped it down and polished everything and sanded and repainted the BD hoops. I replaced incorrect hoops on the rack tom, incorrect BD claws/rods, lots of incorrect tension rods, and an incorrect BD spur bracket wing screw that was mushroomed to the point I had to file it down inside the spur channel of the bracket in order to get it out.

It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun. I traded it for a great RK kit, but I still miss it.

I'll be doing my first re-wrap job on my '67ish Slingerland drums, that will become a Modern Jazz kit, in a month or two. I'll post before and after pics here when I'm done.

Nice work on the Slingerland's , SlingerLynn

Ardrummer that bronze is pretty sweet.

Here is an Eagle Badge that was toast and tried my first wrap job on.

I added the 14" floor (keller shell)but not original. The rest are close numbered set.

Thank you! I occasionally pass close by where the current owner of that kit lives and just want to stop and look at them...and, of course, play them again.

I loved the color of the wrap. Found it on eBay. Was actually looking for a butterscotch and came across this one. It is called Dark Gold Pearl. Here is a closer shot of the snare.
