Is that a vertical grain on the shells I see in the before pic? Or is it just a trick of the light? If so, then I think Gilnar might be onto something and they could be MIJ.

They do look great, by the way. Really nice work!

I'm not very familiar with Rosewood Phonics, not really being a Sonor guy, but I just Googled some pics and yeah, perhaps there's something in what you say, grain-wise at least. But the lugs do have a whiff of Star or Hoshino about them...

Yeah, vertical grain plus the lugs has me thinking MIJ...who knows. They look amazing...stunning, very good reso job. Would love to hear them.
