Rogers Drums USA!! New website

Loading...

The buzz about taking the website down was that it went live by accident and will probably be back up after NAMM. What I did see was really great! Bringing back the Dynasonic with BB lugs and "fruitwood" stained interior. The rail looked very well done, too! I think there were only 3 aftermarket parts being offered. One was a great looking chromed muffler, Fullerton style. Honestly, I don't remember what the other 2 parts were. Hey, I'm old!!

That hoop... was disappointing. Very. Disappointing. Twisted Gate, End Caps, and a

generic shoulder, not even remotely Rogers looking. And Poplar. Wow. Still. .. I will have one.

The drum had a script badge and, I THINK, a Dynasonic badge. But don't hold me to that!

Yes , it has both! Like I mentioned though, I am in touch with a "Dixon insider" ... thus I know more about this than I can tell! Actually, I don't even know why I just even said THAT! Whatever. Next week, ALL will know. :)

Tommy,

I respect your integrity in maintaining the confidentiality with the Dixon "insider". Although all of us Rogers guys are chomping at the bit, we'll have to wait patiently for all to be revealed.

But what can you tell us about the Dixon company itself? Who exactly are they? I'm expecting a level of quality from them that the previous Rogers-brand owners never delivered. A few weeks ago on a whim, I picked up nice Dixon set (18"BD-12"T-14"FT) I stumbled upon in a pawn shop here in Vernon. I had never even heard of Dixon, but it looked like it was worth the $300 (the same set is $850 on Amazon!). I haven't set it up or put new heads on it yet, but it looks pretty decent. Nice looking satin cherry shells and I even like the brushed chrome finish. This is the set....

So I'm feeling fairly confident that Dixon will produce something of quality to associate with the Rogers brand. At least it has to be better than all the "Rogers-badged" crap we've seen since 1985. But B&B lugs!?? Damn. I just love the look of Beavertails.

Wow, THAT was only $300? Why can't I ever get lucky like that? Those look amazing.
