Pic one, two coats of tinted sealer,

Pic two, three coats.

One more coat and Im out of sealer so I guess they will have to do.

Last step will be clear lacquer, deciding between satin and gloss.

The color is matching the insides of the shells very well.

Thank you!

thanks so much for those nice response's Mark and Jay!

Last coat of level tinted level sealer, I have about an hour to decide on gloss or satin top coat. Amazing how well the color matched the inside of those Magnum shells, I knew it would be close but not that close. This red dye is stock color right off the shelf.

Thank you!

That color is similar to my Tama Cherrywine set. When I played them out I felt like it was an "Ethan Allen" furniture set.

It is a chrome inlay. Staying original as much as possible.

Ya, I did a few shells for a guy from Florida a few years ago for his Pearl kit, same color. Can wait to see your hardware on the shells.

Well, a buddy stopped by and we had a few beers so the top coat will have to wait. Gives me more time to think about what I want.

Thank you!
