You were done buying gear, at least that what you told your other half..HOWEVER, a deal popped up that you know is a bargain of the century, and the problem is the partner says "how many times have you said that"??...How do YOU wiggle around this one?

After 48 years my wife just shakes her head and laughs. She has never given me a hassle about buying stuff, leaving drum stuff around the house or playing gigs even if they are on our wedding anniversary. I'm a lucky man!

Same here , she relies on me to have better judgement! as I have to know when to draw the line it gets to the point you can't rob Peter to pay Paul , it's not good that's when it becomes obsessive unless you have deep pockets and the room for them !!! But some deals are not ment to pass ...

I've got a buddy that his house is an old home with many nooks an crannies, In everyone of them is a kit stashed in them, If his wife ever knew how many kits he's really in possession of, !!?? BAD NEWS BEARS .CryBaby

My wife used to always say, "just what we need, another..." fill in the blank, drum, guitar, whatever.

One time I found an old Vox Essex bass amp down at Starving Musician. I wheeled that thing past her and her eyes just bugged out. It was the funniest look I'd ever seen. She didn't say anything probably because she didn't know what she was looking at.

My wife doesn't bug when I tell her it's too good to pass up, 1930's Gretsch RB kit with snare at $150 for example, I tell her it's for sale in the future - just not to close in my future! :D

So a duco Slingerland 22" bass has turned up over on the WA. coast. Said going to the coast to look at a drum.

"Oh, there is a bead store there have been wanting to see." The drum will be the least expensive buy of the day. All fun though. Better half and two dogs will now be in the van. I figure 4+ hours added to the trip.
