After 48 years my wife just shakes her head and laughs. She has never given me a hassle about buying stuff, leaving drum stuff around the house or playing gigs even if they are on our wedding anniversary. I'm a lucky man!

Last time I was at Maxwells in NY I bought a Ludwig Snare. Whilst we were going through the transaction phase I got chatting to the sales guy there. He said they do a massive amount of "brown envelope" sales there for guys all over the world feeding their vintage addiction and hiding it from the Mrs!! Funny.
This morning my wife made her weekly trip to the local St Vincent thrift store to look for junk to decorate the house. She came home with a 1966 Ludwig WMP Pioneer snare drum. $25 all original . very little fade.I think she is a keeper!

HAHAHA! - Well I'm single at the moment, but any prospects get told about the drums, and thankfully most of the woman I have been with saw and understood my passion for drums from day one and never tried to get between me and them. End of the day the drums always win. At least for me,lol
