Drum cats : I have some wrap lift that I need to get some contact cement into. What type of syringe is recommended?

Thanks! Chris

Go to drug store and buy liquid children`s Tylenol or Motrin, the syringe in there is fine great size for this and the medicine is a bit better than the adults.

But the opening's to large to fit into the seam (should have noted it's the wrap along the bearing edge I'm having the issue with).

& thank you OB(I)!

Apply it with the syringe and push it into the seam with a toothpick.

I dont understand how this works. You guys must be using something entirely different than I do. To me contact cement is applied to both surfaces, once its dry enough that it wont stick to your finger you bring the two surfaces together to form and instant bond that can not be re positioned. How do you use a syringe to apply the adhesive to the shell and bottom of the wrap without touching each other?

Thank you!

Jeff, You leave tooth picks on either end of the separation to keep it from closing. After spreading the cement around, and let dry (yellow), remove tooth picks and clamp it. you wont get premium full coverage but what will catch should be plenty to hold. The thinner that stuff goes on, the better it holds.

Hey Jeff.

The opening is so small I have no option but to just apply it by syringe, or toothpick, or whatever.

What I will do is release some of the old glue so I can get in there easier.

I'm all ears for any advice.
