If by "stripped" you mean that the insert is stripped, not to worry, as Sonor used either a small metal threaded insert or an ordinary hex nut. Good news is that it's 1/4"-20, which is widely available in the US and Canada.
Did you ever have any luck in finding the missing parts?
Mike
Hi Mike,
I did not put the missing parts together, and in fact am now missing the tom arm. I looked in every place I could think of and just couldn't find it. So here is what's needed to make this complete:

Tom arm and wingnut

bass drum mounted cymbal L arm

Repair one stripped lug casing
I have a line on a replacement era correct tom arm here in Toronto.
I sold another kit to fund my Ludwig Super Classic purchase, so I'm now happily considering chasing these parts down to complete the family.
Cheers - John

John,
ST Drums in Germany is the place to look. For the stripped lug casing, see http://www.stdrums.de/tips/teardroplug/teardroplug.htm
For the cymbal arm: http://www.stdrums.de/shop/product_info.php?info=p2203_ch8mm.html
Best,
Magnus
Thanks Magnus, appreciate the reply and the heads up!
Cheers - John
So, I got a period correct tom post - thanks Steve. ;) In a few months, I'll find the period correct tom post that came with the kit, so I'll have an extra for anyone who needs one, hahaha.
I spent some time taking the mounted tom apart to get a look at what looks like maybe a drop wound around the bracket attachment points on the shell. There are no soft spots and everything is cleanly repaired and tight, original, man I LOVE the smell of old drums. I cut a piece of felt to give her a softer ride going forward.
Three ply with re-rings. Thin European Beech shells made over 50 years ago. These drums sound amazing. They are every bit as great as the Gretsch, Ludwig and Slingerland kits I have owned and they definitely belong at the Captain's Table.
I played and tuned and looked and loved. I have already sold another kit to fund my Ludwig Superclassic purchase so I am keeping these babies. Now I'm all excited about renewing my search for little tidbits that matter as well as a matching Black Galaxy Sparkle snare drum and a second floor tom.
In with the old, in with the old! I love SONOR.
