ummmmmm.........no. I never did that.

Now, The Who! That, I did. I was in freak mode when I played to The Who. I used to go through at LEAST two sticks on side two of "By Numbers". By the time I got to "In a hand or a face", I was drenched. I used to love playing drums to that record.

So, who remembers playing to records - as a drummer - and having the stupid thing skip like crazy due to the vibrations of the kit? Anyone?

Ditto - My faves were anything by the beatles (age 13 then) and later, Jeff Beck's Blow By Blow, Wired and later, There and Back.

Steely Dan's Aja also got some serious play time.

Yup. That was my guilt-free admit it time. I felt good about never doing that to a Peart/Rush tune...but you've now striped me bare and exposed the uber geek I really am. I can't help it. The Who did that to me. I admit it. But that was MANY years ago! I'm not that drummer dweeb anymore.........I don't think. Does shouting the name of the song off the MP3 player as if you're at the stadium count? Probably not..........right? Oh man....I'm so depressed.

If you don't get old, the alternative is not a pretty sight. And eventually smells worse.

Yep....

Lately I've been trying to convince myself that I'm getting taller rather than older, since nowadays the floor seems a lot further away when I have to reach down and pick up something I have dropped.....
