Thanks John, I have been really thinking, probably over-thinking, how to go about this. The wrap is pretty thick and the hollow punch works about half the time, the other half it wants to de-laminate the wrap. I am in no hurry, I'm gonna keep experimenting until I find the perfect method. This will probably be my one and only Camco kit so I want it done to perfection. Besides, this silver sparkle wrap is just stunning, cant wait to see it without holes.

Jeff maybe put a little piece of wrap in the sun and see if it softens it a bit. Or heat the punch slightly to help it get a nice quick cut. Try going from the back if you heat the punch so it does not melt the sparkles maybe? Sorry to hear it's giving you a problem. I thought for sure those hole punches would cut like butta. You'll get it. I'll look at work and see if our hole punch drill has a 1/2" bit. This might sound silly but stick with me...... you can also try the punch in the chuck of a drill press if the chuck it large enough. Some wax or silicone spray on the end of the bit. Steady pressure into the wrap. This is how we drill holes in paper and plastics at work. The wax or silicone keeps the bit cool as it goes through the matieral. Maybe first try the drill press off with just pressure downward. See if that's enough to punch through. If not you'd need use it under power maybe a slow speed. Might sound a little crazy. I can try it at work first if you like I have some of those sparkle wrap scraps you sent me. Lemme know!

BTW I like Johns way. Sounds like a simple way to get it a nice fit with a little patience. My way involves heat and power tools. LOL safety first!! And I'm a little crazy sometimes. :D

Glen, I did place the wrap next to a halogen shop light to warm it up. It did help a lot, I can get a nice little circle about half the time and I only need a few so the punch is working, just not as smooth as I thought it would be. I like the drill press idea, I will see how that works.

Im trying to come up with a way so I dont have to sand the inside of the wood plug, I want to just be able to use a little spackling over the end of it and touch it up with matching paint.

You'll get it Jeff. Just a matter of finding the best way. I'm curious how you make out as I need to patch a WMP shell. Look forward to your progress!!
