Question on 1960 Ludwig Set

Loading...

Is it possible for a factory set to have the following things?

1961 date stamp and pre-serial badge(Floor Tom)White interior

1960 date stamp and Transition badge(Rack Tom)

1960 date stamp and Transition badge(Bass Drum)

1960 date stamp and Transition badge(Snare)

Didn't the transition badge stop in 1959?

Another weird thing about this set is the floor tom legs go through two first generation ludwig mounts. Somebody help. I have some pictures if you want them.

Are you sure? The owner has confirmed white with a 1961 stamp. Anyone know about the double leg mount thing. Would the factory ever do this?

...doubtful. I can't imagine two different floor leg mounts out of three. Even for Ludwig, that's a bit too much.

It's been fixed. Here is what the leg thing looks like.

Somebody likes to think out of the box. I don't know if you were kidding but that is a pretty good idea. Anymore like that would be great. I really do wonder why maybe Kevin just solved it.

Maybe some kind of homemade cocktail rig?? Didn't Rogers set up their floor toms to be converted to cocktail drums... perhaps that was inspiration for this Ludwig player adding the extra leg mounts...

Just a thought.

Not a Guru... just interested..
