Ahh yes, the join date..........That's all it was.

It's a big kit.........you are doing great...........

Lots of real estate on this one.

I love that cradle. Would like to try and make one.

Here is mine.

Says WFL stamped in one leg.

It is chrome. I wonder what year this was made and if it got a re-chrome over original nickel.

Pedal arrived today John.

Thank You Very Much.

Surprisingly light weight.

I thought the box was empty.

I guess that's why it is called the "Leedy Lightweight"

It's a pretty cool design.

Mike - Gotdam bro, $500! I wish he was selling the cradle separately. I'd be all over that thing like ugly on an ape!

SELL IT TO ME! Storm Trooper

"Pedal arrived today John."

That thing is such a cool antique just like it is, rust and all. The good news is, it's working and there is good metal under there! That pedal can be brought back. It would make a killer display piece in any vintage drum lovers home. Enjoy. I got two full boxes of that stuff with this kit. I just wanted to spread some of the sunshine with a buddy who can appreciate it for what it is... a really cool old pedal.

Clean her up! You can curse me for giving it to you as you wallow in the muck! LOL :D

If you could get the seller to split the pair it wouldn't take much to make the cradle fit a 14" tom.

First thing I thought of when I saw it, Mick! Shoot, if I had a way to cut & bend bar stock and a good drill press, I think I could actually make one of these! My problem is; I have neither the tools or any real know-how on actually making one. The buggers are harder to find than cockroaches when you turn the light on. If you spot one, 'holla at me'!

Scott: "I wonder what year this was made and if it got a re-chrome over original nickel."

I don't think it was re-chromed. That just looks like real nice clean nickel to my eyes. Chrome is a lot more reflective, yours has that 'silverware' tone that I associate with nickel. It's in scary good shape though! If you ever decide to part with it... make me numero uno on the list S'il vous plaît! Kiss

:D

John that cradle is the coolest thing. It's so solid too. Very very well built and will easily last another 100 years! I do see some old skool cradles on ebay every so often. They normally shoot to $200 or so before selling. But I'll keep a eye out for you.

If you need a drill press I have a extra Ryobi you can have. It's a table top model. Let me know I can bring it to the show in Feb for you.

John, sorry I missed the part about the bass drum band missing even though I have followed the tread from page one. Is that the only thing missing? Im just wondering about how all these steel bands work and how they connect to the bass drum, I have never seen anything like it.

Thank you!

Jeff I was wondering that too. Tom mounts looked like a early fashion of the clip mount. I thought it was cool they wrap around the shell. Smart for support. But as John said they kill the tone. No idea how they attach to the bass. It's a big puzzle I'm sure. Hard to figure out being no one has really seen a kit like this before. One of a kind I'd think. And 3 mounted toms no less!!!
