I think we are talking "Outer Diameter"... of the shell... ( I also think that Paul, Troutstudio) has or, has owned one of the 15" 9 lug toms... Maybe PM him for any info...

Cheers

John

The OD of the FT is 15.5" and the rack toms seem to be exactly 12". The snare is a touch under 14".Here are some photos. This is how it is exactly as I got it.

Sorry the quality here is poor.

Bass drum dampening system (Yes they have swapped out the bass lugs but some of them are in a bag that came with it)

Most of the heads are tucked calf skin. Some of the wrap has peeled on a tom and revealed the perfect green sparkle wrap on the underside. I am considering trying to "flip" the wrap and use the underside on the outside, hence keeping the original wrap on the drums. It seems completely possible as the wrap isnt brittle. Its so far gone with the fading and blotches anyway I feel like theres not much to lose.

More photos to come

Fit`n a SONOR hoop would be close. My Phonic toms have about a quarter inch, (I haven`t measured yet exactly) all around the circumference of the shell and all shells are in inches exact OD. If it`s a quarter that I think, that would make a fifteen hoop 15.5 and close on the FT. You would have to get one to try. Maybe Sigs series are larger revel.

I don`t have a 15 FT and my 15 rack Tom has eight.

Yeh unfortunately they are Pearl lugs so ive gotta track down 16 originals now. Its green sparkle wrap but horribly faded. Its gonna get a re-wrap in green sparkle from Jammin Sam.
