Hayman project

From Cyllocke

Jeff, what can I say dude?? I've been following your projects since I joined VDF and, let me tell you, you keep surprising me every time. Fantastic work there, a pleasure to see. If I lived in the States and wanted a drum job done, you'd definitely be the guy to talk to... :) :) :)Alex

Hey thank you very much! Hopefully we will see the kit completed very soon.

Thank you!

Jeff and all;

Well no pics of the glorious Hayman's today, but there is an excellent reason.

Dana is aware that I used to own an antique clock shop, and that I've done 'a lot' of metal cleaning. We chatted Wednesday, and he asked if I could clean up the badges, as they are solid brass, and kind of nasty with old paint and gunk.

He also thought it would be nice if I documented the cleaning process, to go along with Jeff's magnificent restore work, so I will. Actually, I've already done the majority of it, got some pix, and will be posting the timeline results over the weekend.

Jeff: I'm certainly not trying to hijack your thread. There is a considerable difference in what I will be doing, and what you did with your excellent craftsmanship. No comparison at all. Those shells are stunning!

Your not hijacking at all Craig, its just a continuation of the restore. Its cool how some of these projects are group efforts. I will be looking forward to seeing your part of the job. And thanks for thinking the shells look good.

Thank you!

Yeah... Now I'm waiting on Dana. Maybe Thursday. I sent him an email this morning asking if he thought he would have them together, but he hasn't replied yet. If he's not replying to email, he's busy, so I don't like to call him while he's working.

Anyway, I DID see the kit with the lugs on, but no rims... yeah, sweet
