Shells look great. You said your client has the hardware to put back on them. I hope he sends you some good pics of the kit set up so we can see it.

Finished shells coming soon (this week). It will be up to the owner to provide final pics of the drums. He did choose a color as close to ACB as possible. Thank you for your interest in this project!

Thank you!

Well guys, did some work on the shells today. Thought I would post some pics while I take a break.

Added the pic of Stedis kit to show how the Sherwin Williams color came out. Mine are semi gloss for the moment, I will sand those and shoot a couple coats of gloss over the blue. Hope to do that today yet.

Thank you!

Wow Jeff,

I’m kind of late to the party here,...

What a great project!

How could I’ve missed all the talk about my beloved AC Camcos.

Like Antipodes stated, the paint used on the Alice Cooper blue Camco finish was indeed a metallic auto grade paint.

The outdoor pictures are not very representable for how the real thing looks.

The attached picture gives you a better idea I believe.

The paint being slightly metallic, it tends to change a lot under different lighting so it’s very hard to shoot pictures of it.

All the luck with the completion of the project, I know it’s going to look smashing.

Good stuff there Jeff! Color looks great. Minty mint inside and out. Are the hoops going to be blue also or? Hope the owner posts a few finished pics.

Stedi, thank's for chiming in sir. We just picked a color as close to your kit as possible using a color visualizer tool on the Sherwin Williams site. It will not have the metal flakes but will look nice.

Glenn, Yes the hoops are the same color. There will be a chrome inlay that goes with them also.

Thanks to both for the nice words!

Thank you!
